Amazon unveiling new, better Kindle Web app tomorrow

When we first got a look at Amazon's Kindle Web app, it wasn't too exciting -- the embeddable viewer offered only one-chapter glimpses at select titles. Tomorrow, however, Amazon will release an update to Kindle for the Web, and it's going to offer a much-improved reading experience.

The new Kindle for the Web will compete directly with Google's new eBookstore, which just launched in the U.S. An Amazon spokesperson confirmed to Computerworld that Kindle Web will "enable users to read full books in the browser and [allow] any Website to become a bookstore offering Kindle books."

We'll have a look at the new app tomorrow, and hopefully this time we'll be able to peruse favorites like Patton Oswalt's Zombie Spaceship Wasteland.
